My husband Brian and I are huge Foodies, while searching for our dream cake baker we must have gone to about four or five different vendors; we had a strict budget, but the only items we were willing to splurge on and assign NO budget to was our Wedding Cake. We came across Mayus Cakes after reading nothing but stellar reviews on Wedding Wire, we were quite eager to have a tasting. When the day finally arrived, Maria was not only the most hospitable and professional of all the Vendors we visited, but her cakes were the absolute best in a long shot. The quality of her ingredients and her passion and love for baking are evident in every bite! We instantly knew we had found the perfect Artist to create our dream cakes for our Wedding. For the Grooms Cake we chose an all Chocolate Cake -Chocolate Ganache Filling, Chocolate Orange Cake and Chocolate Fondant coating; for the traditional Wedding cake we chose a theme appropriate Black Forest, which Maria was kind enough to substitute her traditional Raspberry Recipe with a Specially Requested Cherry Filling (Cherry being my favorite). Not a single morsel remained at the end of our reception, every bit was gone, almost all our guests has seconds! Everything from the superior service to exquisite flavor and decor on the cakes made us decide Mayus Cakes is our Special Event Cake Baker from now forward. We are so grateful to have come across Mayus Cakes and to have had Maria make the desserts for our special day. Thank you so much Maria! for our daughter’s first birthday we had the idea of a cake reminding her of her compadre Elliot the dog! Maria was able to transform the idea into reality by creating this beautiful and delicious cake! Our daughter Loïse was very impressed with the cake and had a lot of fun with it. The wedding was beautiful and the cakes were a hit! We loved the cakes, literally and figuratively. Neville loved the groom's cake. We took a picture of it with all of his Pan Am buddies. Thank you so much for beautiful, delicious cakes. My only regret is I wish I had more. LOL!!! I most definitely will be hiring you again for your most delicious cakes. We really were impressed with how beautiful they were. Anyway, take care and we most definitely keep in touch.

Maria, Celebrating that my husband was turning 40 was exciting , but more exciting was to see how you turn an idea into reality. I wanted the cake to symbolize a movie, moving through decades and living a wonderful and joyful life and the cake was a masterpiece! A piece of art and a complete delight to eat! Thanks for taking the time to understand the way I envisioned the cake, you achieved that and much more! The flavor was incredibly tasty and the freshness of the cake was something out of this world!
